FAQ

Q: How much do you charge?
A: For regular junk hauling, we charge between $65 and $175 + GST as long as it takes 30 minutes or less to load. We charge extra for heavy material (i.e. drywall). We charge an extra $25 if a second student is required. If the pick-up takes longer than the 30 minute loading time limit, we charge an extra $40 per hour per student on a pro-rated basis.
Q: How do I know if I need a second student?
A: If you want to save money and you have someone available to help lift heavy items onto the truck, you only need one student. If your heavy item is outside and ready to go or stored in a garage, generally one student will be able to load that item by himself or herself using a ‘tipping’ technique. If you think that the job requires a second student, please make that known to the person booking the job over the phone.
Q: Do your prices include dump fees?
A: Yes, dump fees are included in the price.
Q: I don’t want to pay GST. Will you take cash under the table?
A: No. We always charge GST and give a receipt.
Q: Will you drive by and give me a quote?
A: No. Giving quotes is prohibitively expensive in both wages and fuel costs. We offer upfront prices explained on the web-site, but truck managers are not allowed to commit to a price before completing the job.
Q: How big is your truck?
A: As you can tell from the pictures on the web-site, we use super-duty pick-up trucks with extended sides on the back. It is like a super-sized box on the back of the truck. Each truck has a 200 cubic foot capacity (approx.).
Q: Do you recycle, or can you or one of your friends use the item I’m looking to get rid of?
A: Things like tree branches and metal are the most common things that we recycle. If you have something that a University Student might be interested in taking home, please go to www.kijiji.ca and post an ad.
Q: What type of items can you haul away?
A: We will haul just about anything you can think of, except for chemicals (i.e. half full paint cans), and tires.
Q: Do you have moving straps for lifting heavy items?
A: No, we use an appliance mover.
Q: Are you really University students?
A: Generally Yes. In 2008, we gave out 14 T4 forms to students from Law, Medicine, Accounting, Engineering, Arts, and other University programs. Admittedly, we sometimes enlist the help of someone who is not in University to help us better meet our customers needs and expectations.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Our truck managers are covered by WCB and one million dollars in general liability insurance. We are not insured to deliver items on the truck.

As students of life, hard work is no stranger to us. To get by, we started a business that also fills an important role in our community. We deliver on our promise every day to be on time, efficient and always professional. Call now, and we will haul it for you.
